Our department is nationally known for our research and the success of our graduates. We are widely recognized for our emphasis on interdisciplinary research, which runs the gamut from astroinformatics to bioinformatics to cybersecurity.

Our student body is large and diverse and our graduates land jobs at top employers. Our program is one of the reasons top tech companies have launched major expansions in Atlanta. Microsoft has announced Atlanta will soon become one of its most important hubs. The company is building a campus in the city’s Westside neighborhood and Google is moving into a new Midtown office tower.
