The Department of Computer Science held its inaugural Computer Science & Software Engineering Showcase on November 2 in Veterans Memorial Hall. At the event, teams of CS seniors presented 17 posters and demos. Over 250 people attended, including Georgia State president M. Brian Blake and Dr. John Augusto, associate dean for strategic initiatives in the College of Arts & Sciences. Employers such as Google, Bank of America, and Macy’s Technology were also present at the showcase, which ended with a networking session between students and employers.
The event included an awards ceremony conducted by professor Xiaolin Hu, the department's director of undergraduate studies, and Ramona Simien, GSU's director of employer relations. Awards were given to the following teams:
